Market Rules: One Portfolio, Three Rulebooks

How FirmaOS applies each market’s study pathways, deliverability constraints, and capacity-accreditation rules

01Market-specific pathways

Every market has different rules

Power systems share common physics, but every market has different rules. The same resource can receive different capacity credit, follow a different deliverability pathway, or carry different locational risk depending on where the portfolio is built.

02Inside FirmaOS

Encode the rules that change the portfolio

FirmaOS combines a common physics and economics foundation with market-specific logic. Portfolio Designer can therefore evaluate each resource under the rules that will govern the actual portfolio.

03Commercial execution

Firma Power navigates the path from model to agreement

FirmaOS identifies the applicable pathways, aligns site and supply schedules, and surfaces the assumptions that still require confirmation.

Firma Power’s Commercial Execution team then works with the customer, utility, market operator, and supply counterparties to advance the supply-side study requests, manage deposits and credit, negotiate agreements, and update the portfolio as study results arrive.

Rules continue to evolve. Every decision must be checked against the current tariff, governing process, and counterparty requirements before it is advanced.
