Firma Supply

One agreement.
Clean, quiet, load‑enabling power.

Firma Supply delivers power to data centers under a Portfolio Capacity Agreement: one contract for the accredited capacity your utility needs to connect your load under bring-your-own-capacity rules. That capacity comes from a managed portfolio of many clean projects, delivered over the wires.

How we work

We supply power to data centers under a Portfolio Capacity Agreement: One contract for the accredited capacity your utility needs to connect your load from a managed portfolio of many clean projects, delivered over the wires.

  • Fast.

Skip years of power origination and procurement. Firma brings the utility a load-enabling capacity portfolio on day one.

  • Firm.

Capacity built to meet the utility’s accreditation and deliverability requirements, then managed over seasons and years.

  • Simple.

One agreement and one counterparty for exactly what you need. Firma handles supply diligence and contracting, utility filings, and ensures you have sufficient capacity over the full term of our contract.

  • Clean.

Wind, solar and storage over the wires, with no polluting, noisy plant next door, so communities can embrace it. Firma can add energy and RECs as you need them.

The overlooked supply

The supply already exists. It needs the right portfolio.

More than 90% of new U.S. power projects in development are wind, solar and storage. Combined in the right mix, these projects can serve tens of gigawatts of new large loads before 2030. The hard part isn’t cost, speed or reliability. It’s assembling enough clean power from a patchwork of projects. Three barriers have kept that from happening.

Deliverability

Capacity that can’t reach your load under the region’s rules can’t enable it. Proving it takes detailed power-flow studies.

Accreditation

The utility counts only accredited capacity, and accreditation shifts with the seasons and the grid mix.

Commercial complexity

Accredited capacity is a fraction of nameplate, so a gigawatt of load can need 2–5 GW of supply from many sellers.

Firma’s Portfolio Capacity Agreements are the solution to all three.

What is a Portfolio Capacity Agreement?

Portfolio Capacity Agreement

A single contract with Firma for the capacity a utility needs before it can connect new large load. Firma supplies that capacity from a managed portfolio of many projects, so it counts under the utility’s accreditation rules and can be delivered to your site. Clean energy and renewable energy certificates (RECs) can be bundled in as you need them.

Firma then manages the portfolio over seasons and years. A PPA buys energy from one project; a Portfolio Capacity Agreement delivers load-enabling capacity from many.

What you buy
PPA:

Energy and RECs from one project.

Portfolio Capacity Agreement:

Accredited, deliverable capacity that lets the utility connect your load, with clean energy and RECs bundled as needed.

Where it comes from
PPA:

One project and its developer.

Portfolio Capacity Agreement:

Many projects from many developers and IPPs: wind, solar, storage, demand response and virtual power plants.

Over the years
PPA:

Tied to one project. If its accredited capacity falls, the gap is yours to fill.

Portfolio Capacity Agreement:

Managed by Firma. When a resource’s accredited capacity falls, Firma adds replacement capacity.

Contracts and filings
PPA:

One contract per project, so a large load needs many.

Portfolio Capacity Agreement:

One agreement with Firma. Firma handles the project contracts, the filings and every counterparty.

Best suited to
PPA:

Buying clean energy from a specific project.

Portfolio Capacity Agreement:

Bringing your own capacity, so the utility can connect new large load.

What’s included

One agreement in place of many contracts and workstreams.

  1. Accredited capacity

Capacity your utility counts toward your load: accredited under its rules and deliverable to your site.

  2. Clean energy and RECs

Clean energy and renewable energy certificates, bundled with the capacity as you need them.

  3. Ongoing energy and capacity management

Firma monitors changes in accreditation (ELCC), secures replacement capacity when needed and handles market participation.

  4. Contracting and filings

The project contracts and the tariff, accreditation and deliverability filings that a bring-your-own-capacity path requires.

  5. Counterparty management

Diligence on every project in the portfolio, and the day-to-day relationship with each owner.

How it comes together

FirmaOS designs it. Firma contracts it. Your utility delivers it.

Firma is the one-stop shop for designing and buying your bring-your-own-capacity supply. Behind the agreement, Firma contracts each project with its owner.

  1. Design · FirmaOS

    The portfolio is designed.

FirmaOS finds the least-cost mix of projects that is accredited and deliverable for your site and your load ramp.

    About FirmaOS
  2. Contract · Firma Supply

    The projects are contracted.

Firma contracts projects from many developers and IPPs and joins them in one Portfolio Capacity Agreement.

    For project owners
  3. Deliver · Your utility

    The utility delivers.

Your utility serves your site over the wires. Under a bring-your-own-capacity tariff, it counts the portfolio’s capacity toward your load.

    For utilities
For project owners

Maximize the value of your pipeline.

Standalone projects can’t serve gigawatt-scale loads and portfolios of complementary assets manage evolving capacity accreditation and mitigate risk. Firma combines projects from many developers and IPPs into higher-value clean firm portfolios for large loads. We help maximize the value of the assets in your pipeline.

Partner with Firma

Firma assembles and acquires power and energy from multiple developers and IPPs. Firma does not displace the teams developing and building projects.

What Firma provides to sellers

  • Deliverability assessment

Transmission fit, queue posture, constraints, and credible delivery paths.

  • Capacity value

Accreditation, reliability contribution, and the role each asset can play.

  • Economics

Portfolio value, strike sensitivity, and commercial route-to-market clarity.

For utilities

Serve more large-load requests with supply the customer brings.

When a new load asks for more than you can supply in time, Firma Supply finds and structures the rest. Firma contracts clean, grid-delivered projects from many developers and IPPs, builds the portfolio to your accreditation and deliverability rules, and manages it for the life of the contract. You stay the utility that serves the load.

How FirmaOS supports utility planning
  • Capacity you can count

Accredited and deliverable under your rules, sized to the load as it ramps.

  • One counterparty behind many projects

Firma holds the project contracts and adds replacement capacity when a resource’s accreditation falls.

  • No new burden on existing customers

The new load brings and pays for its own supply. The final protections rest on your tariff and contracts.
